Workflow or webform preview shows an Oops error

Last updated 29 April 2026

Occasionally the preview screen for a workflow or webform shows an Oops error instead of the expected page. It usually clears with a refresh or a small change to the setup, but sometimes it points at something we need to look at on our side.

Try these first

  1. Refresh the page. Many transient preview errors clear on a hard refresh (Ctrl + F5 / Cmd + Shift + R).
  2. Re-save the workflow or webform. Open the workflow or webform you were previewing, make sure all required fields are filled in, and click Save. Then try the preview again.
  3. Check it in a different browser — if it works in Chrome but not Edge (or vice-versa), it's likely a browser cache issue. See Supported browsers and devices.
  4. Sign out and back in. A stale session can sometimes leave the preview in a bad state.

Still seeing it?

If the Oops error persists after the steps above, it's something we need to look at. Email support@moneyalive.co.uk with:
