Change a client's email address

You can change a client's email address from their record in Money Alive Office, but only before they have logged in for the first time. Once a client has authenticated, only they can update their own details.

Steps

  1. Open the Clients directory and find the client.
  2. Click the client to open their record.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Update the email address.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Resend the email invitation so the client receives it at the new address.

Troubleshooting

Symptom What it means What to do
Edit button is disabled or greyed out The client has already logged in and is now authenticated. Ask the client to update their own email under My Account.
Client is marked as an example client Example clients cannot be edited after creation. Create a new client record with the correct email.
